Corrections Policy
We work hard to get things right, but no newsroom is perfect. When we make a mistake, we correct it openly and quickly. This policy explains how.
Our commitment
Accuracy is the foundation of trust. If we publish something that is factually wrong, we will correct it as soon as we are aware of it, rather than quietly deleting or ignoring it.
What counts as a correction
- Correction — a fix to a factual error (a name, date, figure, quote or claim that was wrong).
- Clarification — added wording to remove ambiguity or prevent a reasonable reader from being misled, even if the original was not strictly incorrect.
- Update — new information added to a developing story. Significant updates are noted with a time or date.
How we make corrections
When we correct a material factual error, we amend the article and add a short note indicating what was changed and when. We do not silently rewrite history on points that materially affect a reader's understanding. Minor typographical fixes that do not change meaning may be made without a note.
How to request a correction
If you believe an article contains a factual error, please tell us. Include the article link, the specific point you believe is wrong, and — where possible — a source or evidence supporting the correct information.

Our response
We aim to acknowledge correction requests within a reasonable time and to act on verified errors promptly. If we decide not to make a change, we will explain why. Serious complaints are escalated to the Editor-in-Chief.
Removal requests
We generally do not remove accurate, lawfully published journalism. However, we will consider requests that involve genuine legal, privacy or safety concerns on a case-by-case basis through our Grievance Redressal process.
